Welcome to The Patrick Trust

The Patrick Trust was founded in 1962, by Joseph Patrick and his wife Ruth. The same year, they had sadly lost their son Andrew, at the age of 13. Andrew had suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy for most of his short life. The Trust was created, in memory of Andrew, to initially fund research into finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Over the years as the Trusts financial position has strengthened it has been able to diversify its grants to a wider range of charities. We currently seek to help charities who support the young, the elderly and those in the West Midlands.

2022 saw the Trust celebrate its 60th anniversary. During this time grants in excess of £6m have been allocated to UK registered charities. The current board of trustees come from wide ranging, diverse backgrounds, with specialities in the fields the Trust aims to support.
